The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) says that the plans of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) to eliminate the president of Ukraine have been foiled Volodymyr Zelensky and other representatives of the country's top military-political leadership, Ukrainska Pravda reported.
Two colonels were recruited by the Russian services. They passed sensitive information from the services to Moscow.
Thus, Russia has been actively developing plans to remove President Volodymyr Zelensky. One of the tasks of the FSB intelligence network was to look for executioners among the military, close to the security of the president, who could kidnap Zelensky and then kill him.
Among the other targets were the head of SBU Vasil Malyuk and the head of military intelligence GUR Kirilo Budanov. Regarding Budanov, the Russians planned to launch a missile or drone strike on his location when they received coordinates from their agents in the Ukrainian services.
As is known, Budanov and Zelensky have long been targets of the Russian services and in the past there have been other attempts to physically liquidate them.
